Michael T. Brennan, DDS, MHS

Michael T. Brennan, DDS, MHS, practices oral medicine at Carolinas Center for Oral Health. He attended dental school at the University of Iowa. After dental school, he completed his general dentistry residency at Loyola University Medical Center and an oral medicine fellowship at the National Institute of Health. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Department of Oral Medicine at Carolinas Medical Center and Director of the Sjögren’s Syndrome and Salivary Disorders Center at Carolinas Medical Center. Dr. Brennan has published or contributed to more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed publications and has also published 15 books or book chapters, and multiple abstracts. Dr. Brennan also participates in numerous teaching activities and presents at conferences nationwide and internationally. He has received multiple awards and recognitions, most recently the Mission Award from the Sjögren’s Syndrome Foundation. Dr. Brennan’s certifications and affiliations include: Diplomate, American Board of Oral Medicine FDS (Oral Medicine), Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, International Society of Oral Oncology, Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer, Commission on Dental Accreditation, American Academy of Oral Medicine and American Dental Association.

Carolyn McLeod

Carolyn McLeod started her career as a dental hygienist in Northern Virginia. She worked full time as a hygienist for years and then transitioned to pharmaceutical sales. For six years, she worked for Syntex Labs. After moving to Atlanta in 2003, she joined Discus Dental as an account manager. In 2010, her career led her to Vita, where she sold CAD CAM/CEREC materials for six years. Two and a half years ago, Carolyn joined Sunstar Americas. Sunstar enables her to combine her dental hygiene and sales background. Carolyn thoroughly enjoys having hygienists as her primary customers.

Jennifer L. Brame, RDH, MS

Jennifer Brame is a Clinical Associate Professor at the UNC School of Dentistry. She earned a BS degree in Dental Hygiene and a MS degree in Dental Hygiene Education from UNC. Jennifer has served as director of first and second year dental hygiene clinical courses and courses in Periodontology and Dental Practice Management. She also directs courses in the MS program in Dental Hygiene Education, including the Educational Concepts and Clinical Management courses. Jennifer serves on the editorial review board of the Journal of Dental Hygiene. She has published in several peer reviewed journals and speaks nationally in the areas of ultrasonic and advanced instrumentation. Jennifer is a member of Sigma Phi Alpha, the American Dental Education Association and the American Dental Hygienists’ Association.
