Michael T. Brennan, DDS, MHS
Michael T. Brennan, DDS, MHS, practices oral medicine at Carolinas Center for Oral Health. He attended dental school at the University of Iowa. After dental school, he completed his general dentistry residency at Loyola University Medical Center and an oral medicine fellowship at the National Institute of Health. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Department of Oral Medicine at Carolinas Medical Center and Director of the Sjögren’s Syndrome and Salivary Disorders Center at Carolinas Medical Center. Dr. Brennan has published or contributed to more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed publications and has also published 15 books or book chapters, and multiple abstracts. Dr. Brennan also participates in numerous teaching activities and presents at conferences nationwide and internationally. He has received multiple awards and recognitions, most recently the Mission Award from the Sjögren’s Syndrome Foundation. Dr. Brennan’s certifications and affiliations include: Diplomate, American Board of Oral Medicine FDS (Oral Medicine), Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, International Society of Oral Oncology, Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer, Commission on Dental Accreditation, American Academy of Oral Medicine and American Dental Association.
